Carson Optical 's TA-50 Binotripod Adapter is used for attaching a tripod-ready binocular to a photo/video tripod or window mount, and is an essential piece of gear for optics that have high magnifications and/or large objectives, as well as for long-duration viewing like birding or other nature observations to reduce fatigue and eliminate hand-shake. The lightweight aluminum adapter is 3.5" tall to allow clearance for larger-objective binoculars and connects using a 1/4" threaded bolt with a slim knurled thumbscrew that causes minimal obstruction when the interpupillary adjustment is at its narrowest; and the adapter mounts to any standard tripod 1/4"-20 socket.
