Leaders is a fast-paced, deeply tactical board game for two players, where victory is won through positioning, timing and clever use of unique character abilities — not brute force.

For centuries, this kingdom has known peace. Each spring, rival claimants to the throne settle succession through ritualised duels. No armies clash, no blood is spilled. Instead, each pretender recruits a small band of elite champions, and the first to capture the opposing Leader claims the crown.

In Leaders, every decision matters. You’ll assemble a team of distinctive characters, each with their own special abilities, and outmanoeuvre your opponent on a tightly designed board. Win by bringing two of your characters adjacent to the enemy Leader, or by surrounding them completely so escape is impossible.

How to play

Each turn is split into two streamlined phases:

Action Phase
Activate your characters by either:

• Moving to an adjacent space, or

• Using a powerful character-specific ability

Recruitment Phase
Choose one character from the available pool and add them to your side of the board, gradually building a team of up to five characters.

The heart of Leaders lies in combining character abilities, anticipating your opponent’s strategy, and adapting on the fly as the board state evolves.
