COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the course Effective Recruitment & Selection Techniques. This program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to attract, evaluate, and select the best talent for your organisation. By mastering these techniques, you will ensure a more efficient and effective recruitment process, leading to a stronger and more capable workforce. Each section will be complemented with examples to illustrate the concepts and techniques discussed.

We begin with an introduction to recruitment and selection, where you will learn about the importance of effective recruitment and selection practices and gain an overview of the entire process. This foundational understanding is crucial for implementing successful strategies.

Workforce planning is the next step, which involves assessing organisational needs, identifying skill gaps, and developing comprehensive workforce plans. You will learn how to align your recruitment efforts with the strategic goals of your organisation.

Job analysis and design are critical for creating roles that attract the right talent. This section covers conducting job analysis, writing detailed job descriptions and specifications, and designing roles to appeal to top candidates.

Sourcing candidates effectively is essential for a robust recruitment process. You will explore internal vs. external recruitment, utilising job boards and social media, and leveraging networking and employee referrals to find the best candidates.

Employer branding plays a significant role in attracting talent. This section focuses on creating a strong employer brand, promoting it effectively, and measuring its impact on your recruitment efforts.

Recruitment strategies vary based on the needs of your organisation. You will learn about active vs. passive recruitment, campus recruitment and internships, and the role of recruitment agencies and head-hunters.

Screening and shortlisting candidates are critical steps in narrowing down the applicant pool. This section covers reviewing resumes and applications, conducting initial phone screens, and using applicant tracking systems (ATS) for efficiency.

Interview techniques are crucial for assessing candidate suitability. You will explore structured vs. unstructured interviews, behavioural and situational interview questions, and the benefits of panel and group interviews.

Assessing candidate fit involves evaluating both cultural and skill fit. This section covers the use of personality assessments, technical and skill-based assessments to ensure the best match for your organisation.

Conducting background checks ensures that the candidates you select are trustworthy and qualified. This section covers reference checks, criminal and credit checks, and verification of qualifications and experience.

Making the job offer is a critical step in securing top talent. You will learn how to develop competitive job offers, negotiate salary and benefits, and communicate the offer effectively to candidates.

Onboarding and integration are essential for new hires to become productive members of your team. This section covers pre-onboarding activities, orientation programs, and the importance of mentorship and buddy systems.

Retention strategies are crucial for maintaining a stable workforce. You will explore employee engagement programs, career development opportunities, and performance management systems to keep your employees motivated and committed.

Evaluating recruitment effectiveness helps you refine your processes. This section covers key performance indicators (KPIs) for recruitment, candidate experience surveys, and analysing metrics like time-to-hire and cost-per-hire.

Finally, understanding legal and ethical considerations in recruitment is vital for compliance and fairness. This section covers equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, avoiding discrimination in hiring, and maintaining ethical recruiting practices.

Paid for new, received used.
Size: 9.5 Wide, Color: Cognac, Size: 9.5 Wide, Color: Cognac
Arrived dirty as if someone whore it for more than a few days. Maybe I was mistaken, but I saw nothing about “previously used” on the Amazon page. Returned it. I would suggest that the company use quality control when it comes to shipping. The shoes seem find otherwise. I ordered 9.5 and it was just a bit tight. If I reorder I will go for size 10.

Decent Shoes with Misleading Description (Not Leather)
Size: 12 Wide, Color: Black, Size: 12 Wide, Color: Black
I only look for leather when I’m purchasing dress shoes. Under the description “details” on this item it lists the shoe as leather upper and inner lining. A photo shows “genuine Napa leather lining”. If you keep reading (which I have now that I’ve received the shoes) it shows “faux leather” in the small print and that is not “leather”. I run a small leather business and this irks me because it’s clearly false advertising. The details also show the product is made in Brazil but when they arrived today, the shoe tag shows “Made in China” and “Man Made upper and lower”. I don’t hate the shoes. They look nice. What I know is they won’t hold up over time like leather, which is why the description should be accurate and not misleading.

Nautica nails it again!
Color: Cobalt Blue
Was always a fan of Nautica trusting all its products to be of superior quality, fit and finish and this one does not disappoint. Premium build quality! Looks amazing and still compact after fitting in many cards inside. Been using since a couple of months now and it's definitely been a satisfactory purchase.
