The Denon DHT-S517 is a versatile sound bar system designed to deliver a premium home theater experience without the complexity of a traditional setup. It features a powerful driver array, including a 1-inch tweeter and 4.7 x 1.6-inch racetrack-shaped drivers for front left and right channels, and a 1-inch full-range driver for clear center channel dialogue.

For immersive 3D audio, it incorporates two 2.5-inch upward-firing height channel speakers that reflect sound off the ceiling, creating overhead effects. The system includes a wireless subwoofer with a 5.25-inch woofer and a 100-watt amplifier for deep, detailed bass.   The DHT-S517 offers enhanced audio features like Denon's Dialogue Enhancer, with three levels to improve voice clarity during loud scenes, and the ability to adjust dialogue volume independently. It also provides three sound modes: "Movie," "Night," and "Music," plus a "Pure Mode" for uncolored music playback.   

Connectivity is straightforward with HDMI eARC/CEC for easy TV integration and volume control, along with an additional HDMI input, optical digital, and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs for other sources.
