Are you ready to build your own drum kit in the beautiful Devonshire country side?
Thinking about a change in direction or perhaps building that kit you've always wanted, well now's your chance!
Learn about design and composition: what sizes are going to suit your sound, learn how to design and make a beautifully balanced kit.
Perfecting your tooling skills: Taking the skills you learnt on your previous course and applying them to a much larger project will give you the opportunity to perfect them and achieve a professional finish.
Creating a professional kit: Under the expert supervision of Preston Prince, learn trade secrets and professional techniques to achieve a professional standard.
Under an expert eye: With over 20 years teaching experience, Preston Prince will be on hand to guide and assist you though out the course, and with a small group of students you will get all the assistance you need.
Your dream kit: Because we want you to take this opportunity to design and build your perfect kit, we want to offer you a great range of shells. Our beautifully crafted shells are bespoke made to order and come in a fantastic choice of woods and thicknesses.
Here's just a few of the woods we have on offer: Poplar-Burl, Mahogany, Zebra, Bubinga, Maple Walnut, Zebrano, Rosewood
We will need at least four months notice for shell and customisation spec production.
Course Details
Venue: Thornecroft Landscove TQ13 7LX
Meals: Lunch is included in the price with Organic Bread, Soup and Cheeses with cut meats or veggie options. Plenty of teas and ground coffee with biscuits.
Cost: £2425 (This includes sizes up to 22" bass drum, larger sizes are an additional material and production cost approx £150 upgrade for 24" dependent on material costs) Mounting system is assumed as using snare stand although Bass drum mounting system can be preordered and purchased.
Duration: 4 Days
Cost: The cost of this course is £2425, this includes all the materials, tuition, lunches, freshly ground coffee, teas biscuits, and your three piece drum kit in the sizes of your choice. If you would like to build a 4 piece kit, that's also possible at an extra cost, please contact us for a price on this.
Places are very limited as there is a maximum of 2 people per class to ensure you get all the attention you need.
