How to determine whether you need an 8oz or a 32oz bottle.

Our 8oz. bottle can be used for minor drip leaks. Use 1 whole bottle regardless of the amount of water in the tub, ranging from 250 to 1000 gallons. Water Temperature should be between 70F and up.

Water leaks in hot tub or spa plumbing can be troublesome and in most cases very difficult to locate due to the foam sprayed insulation. The time and effort for a manual repair can at times become quite costly.

With FIX A LEAK the repair costs can be minimal and often be done by the hot tub or spa owner.

Instructions for use:

This type of application will be for hot tub/spa leaks that are minor in nature. When you know your hot tub/spa is leaking but cannot detect a noticeable water drop inside the spa a wet spa pad or actual water slowly dripping onto the pad or floor may be the cause. Since it will be difficult to determine if you have sealed this type of leak follow the steps below.

Remove all cartridge filters.

Pour the entire contents of the bottle into the filter intake or directly into the spa.

On day 1 run the spa for 4-6 hours, alternating between the low and high-speed jets.

Since the jets usually run on a 15-minute cycle, you must be present to restart once cycle kicks off.

After the 4-6 hours you can shut off your spa or just allow the recirculating pump to periodically run its cycle.**

On day two, if the leak has slowed but not stopped, broom the bottom of your hot tub/spa before restarting the process as you did on day one of alternating between high and low speed jets for 4-6 hours.

After day two leave the spa off for 48 hours. During this time frame check to see if the water level is stable and if the hot tub/spa pad remains dry.

**Note: The leak may stop after the first day, in which case you can
proceed to the instructions below.

We recommend to drain your spa after treatment as long as night temperatures remain over 40F. If temperatures dip below 40F for any length of time you may reinstall the filter(s) and remove the remainder of Fix A Leak out of the Spa or Hot Tub, making sure to take them out now and then to rinse under hot water to remove any Fix A Leak residue. If you are able to drain the Spa make sure that as the water level is going down to wipe down the Spa with a warm wet soft cloth[s] or towel[s] to ensure all remaining residue of Fix A Leak is removed. If it is not thoroughly wiped away it can leave a white residue. Once the Spa shell is cleaned, let the Spa sit empty for 5-7 days to attempt to cure the FIX A LEAK from the inside of the plumbing pipe[s] (as the foam insulation will remain wet or damp for months on end).
Keep in mind water may still drip from the saturated foam surrounding the hot tub/spa.

With this procedure you should have a success rate of 80%.

Once this process is completed, refill your spa, add your chemicals and resume normal operation.

32oz. bottle may be required: depending on the severity of the leak usually between 1 inch to 1 and a half inches, per 24 hour period. This would allow you to begin by using 1/3 of the bottle and if more product is required you can add the additional amount. Water temperatures should br between 70F and up.

As this is a repair do not use your hot tub/spa until the FIX A LEAK has been removed either by draining or filtering out.

Recommended procedure for using FIX A LEAK:

Determine water loss in a 24-hour period by measuring the water level drop in that period.

Fill hot tub/spa to the original level and mark the water line.

Remove filter cartridge(s) or other filtering devices. For sand filters, place the filter valve on recirculate.

Ensure to shake bottle well.

NOTE: Placing the bottle into a container of hot water for several minutes prior to shaking will ensure product is properly mixed.

With circulating pump running slowly add the FIX A LEAK through the filter cartridge intake or pour directly into the hot tub/spa.

If you are losing close to an inch and a half per day only use your low speed jets. If you are losing an inch or less alternate between you low and high-speed jets As these jets are meant to run usually for 15 minutes you will have to ensure to kick them on when they shut off.

Run for 4-6 hrs. minimum you can run for a longer period of time up to 6-8 hrs. if you wish.

Once this is done you can allow the circulating pump to run its cycle as there will be no need to run your other pumps.

Check your water level the following day. If the level remains the same, the leak has stopped.

If the leak has slowed but not totally stopped, you can add more FIX A LEAK to increase the strength of solution already in the hot tub/spa and repeat the same procedure as you did on day one.

Check again the day after. If all goes well and the leak has stopped shut off your hot tub/spa for 48 hrs.

If the level holds, we recommend to drain your hot tub/spa after treatment as long as night temperatures remain over 40F. If temperatures dip below 40F for any length of time you may reinstall your filter cartridge(s) and collect the product into the filter(s). This may involve a couple of cleanings. Immerse cartridges into a container of warmer water for several minutes and then rinse out under a tap, or rinse out with a garden hose.

If you are able to drain the hot tub/spa, make sure that as the water level is going down, to wipe down the hot tub/spa with a warm wet non abrasive cloth(s) or towel(s) to ensure all remaining FIX A LEAK is removed. If it is not thoroughly wiped away it can leave a white residue.

Once the spa / hot tub shell is cleaned properly, allow it to be empty for 5-7 days to attempt to cure the product from the inside of the plumbing pipe(s). The foam insulation will remain wet or damp for several months. Keep in mind some water may still drip from the saturated foam surrounding the spa. Once this process is completed, refill your spa / hot tub, add your chemicals and resume normal operation.

Once your filters have been thoroughly cleaned, reinstall and resume normal operation.

With these procedures you should have a success rate of 80%.

This sticks to my Chrysler Pacifica!
I bought a new-to-me Chrysler Pacifica and of course wanted a phone holder or two for when my husband and I are travelling. I absolutely adore the car, but I've never had so much trouble finding a phone holder that would stick to the dash, no matter how thoroughly I cleaned it with alcohol! Finally found this one, but it only sticks if you do NOT activate the suction part. That pulls the sticky part off the dash. And it's not very attractive on top of the dash. I'm more concerned with function than appearance so I'm happy with it, and it works great. The phone stays put and stays charged, which is all I ask.

Imperfect, sometimes charging is unreliable, clamp needs power to work and annoyingly not auto
The build quality is great for the price. Like iOttie. The tech advancement is cool but it doesn't work very well which is a disappointment. It doesn't charge my phone very fast, because my phone is limited to 15 watt wireless charging, but it's great for preventing battery loss while using GPS. The button to manually clamp and unclamp are a little too hard to press, it flexes the whole holder, so you need to press with your whole hand supporting the holder. Sometimes my phone disconnects and reconnects randomly to this charger multiple times. Not sure if it's the charger or phone but that stinks . (I'm using an Anker 50w USB adapter for this wireless charger) The clamping is motorized which is cool, but it's honestly less reliable than a spring loaded clamp because it doesn't always auto clamp the phone. When this clamp is working properly it is great as it auto clamps onto a phone it's charging. But the issue is it doesn't always clamp. It sometimes thinks it's clamped, when it's not, so you have to press the manual activation button twice so the phone will be locked in place. It's hard to know when you need to press just once or twice. (The reason you press the button twice is if it thinks it's closed when it's actually open. Then you press first to "open" the clamp, even though it's already open, then press again to close it. But if it knows the correct clamp position already, and just refuses to auto clamp, you only press the button once. If you press twice, you will end up cancelling the clamp. It feels random and unpredictable what the correct action is) The clamping requires power which is another disadvantage to spring loaded hand clamps. But unclamping works without power due to a backup battery. (Powered clamping is still better than those manual squeeze clamps, which are finicky to get a strong enough clamp on the phone) I'm not sure how safe the battery is in a super hot car, like Florida heat. It seems fine for Pa heat.

Great product
UPDATE: Amazing customer service. I didn’t reach out, they did. After some adjustment shaking is minimal. Also regardless the charging. Well apparently my case is not compatible with fast charge. Phone charges fast without the case. Guess that has been my issue with other wireless charges. Definitely recommend. My husband went with another brand and now will be getting the same as mine. Cool idea but definitely not super fast charge. In 40 minutes charged only 10%, was expecting more. Hold phone well but it shakes while driving. Installation was super easy.
