The Auris Children’s Pentatonic Lyre – 7-String Left-Curved (D–E) is a beautifully crafted introductory lyre designed to support young children’s natural relationship with movement, sound, and musical harmony.

This left-curved pentatonic lyre is a foundational instrument for early childhood music-making. Tuned in a pentatonic scale, every tone blends naturally, allowing children to explore freely without creating dissonance. Even simple gestures result in music that feels calm, balanced, and pleasing to the ear.

Designed for Natural Movement and Sound

When held in the right hand, the lower strings rest closer to the body. Drawing the hand inward creates deeper, grounding tones, while outward movement produces lighter, ascending melodies. This orientation corresponds to Auris’s “descending” lyre design. The relationship between physical movement and sound supports embodied musical learning and attentive listening.

The left-curved shape allows the maple wood body to resonate openly and the longer and thicker strings reveal a sound rich in overtones with a soft, rainbow-like depth.
