"Light, fresh, slightly nutty chardonnay with white peach, hazelnut, citrus, nectarine and an exotic suggestion of mango. A nicely balanced, supple and quite elegant wine, with slightly bitter tannins on the finish" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Wine Review, Aug 2020

Golden yellow in the glass, this Waipara Chardonnay is full-bodied and intensely flavoured. Fresh and inviting nose of pineapple, white peach and cream. The palate is full and flavoursome with masses of peach, subtle barrel characters with hints of nutmeg. A rich and delicious Chardonnay perfect for savouring now.

The grapes for this Chardonnay were sourced mostly from a single vineyard grown on the Glasnevin Gravels, North Canterbury and a small percent from their home block on Omihi Rd. The vines were carefully hand-pruned, and fruit harvested in March after a warm, dry growing season. A difficult flowering limited bunches and and only 500 doz were made. The fruit attained optimum ripeness in the dry Autumn weather. Seed lignification and skin ripeness gives the wine a full-bodied fruit-filled balanced palate.

They picked their Deliverance Chardonnay off old vines on gravel soils. Providing lovely intensity of fruit flavour. The first half of fermentation goes through in tank, before completing in French Oak barrels. Full malo-lactic fermentation goes through naturally 7 months after harvest in barrel before the wine is blended and bottled on their estate without fining.

Great but could be Epic
If you’re looking for a solid edger for sidewalks and driveways, this is a great tool. It’s powerful, well-built, easy to assemble, and simple to use. For edging, I would definitely recommend it. However, I wouldn’t recommend it as a true trencher. I bought it for both purposes but mainly needed it for trenching. The maximum cutting depth is only about 1.5 inches, which isn’t deep enough for most garden borders or running cable. In my opinion, a real trencher should be able to reach at least 3 inches deep. The limitation comes down to the blade size and guard design. WORX could improve this model with a larger blade guard and additional wheel depth settings. If they released a version capable of 3–3.25 inch trenching depth, it would really stand out in the market. Overall, it’s an excellent edger, just not a true trencher.

Works Great!
Much quieter than I was expecting. Lawn had needed this for years, I regained 6"-10" of driveway/sidewalk back. Makes the rest of the neighborhood look bad LOL Only the cleaning up wore me out, but it should be much easier next time.
