About the Winery

At the foot of the Veneto’s volcanic hills, Inama has spent over half a century quietly redefining what Soave can be. Founded in the 1960s by Giuseppe Inama, the estate began with a radical vision: to make white wines of depth and character from a region often overlooked. While others chased volume, Giuseppe focused on site, soil, and soul.

Today, the winery is run by Giuseppe’s son Stefano and grandchildren Alessio and Luca—each generation adding their own spark while preserving the original commitment to quality. The estate’s vineyards are all located within the historic Soave Classico zone, where ancient volcanic soils lend a distinctive mineral streak to the wines. These dark, basalt-rich slopes are the secret behind Soave’s potential for elegance, longevity, and complexity.

Inama farms organically and harvests by hand, relying on low-intervention methods that highlight the nuances of the Garganega grape. The family believes in minimal manipulation: native yeasts, stainless steel fermentation, and a thoughtful touch of lees aging are used to bring out texture and purity without overshadowing the fruit.

While best known for their whites, Inama also produces powerful, elegant reds from nearby Colli Berici—including Carmenère, a surprising success in the clay-limestone hills south of Vicenza.
