Tab Magic Molding Putty is a versatile two-part silicone rubber that is flexible, non-toxic, and temperature-resistant. It is specifically designed to help technicians restore complex features on headlight tabs, making it easier to refinish them without compromising their cosmetic details. By pressing the putty into the tab’s surface, technicians can weld the backside without risking damage to the front appearance.
To use, simply mix equal parts of the putty until it forms a uniform green color, then quickly press it onto the headlight tab’s surface. The rubber cures in about 20 minutes, providing firm support for delicate details during welding. Once finished, peel off the putty to reveal a nearly complete tab, requiring only minimal finishing work. Although the putty cannot be re-molded after curing, it can be reused on the same type of headlight tab.
