Since its beginnings in the nineteen-seventies, the medium of video has been closely linked to the subcultural and countercultural movements of its time, both in art and in everyday culture in Germany. Art and music videos in particular demonstrate great subversive potential: artists and musicians oppose traditional values, transgress and repeatedly explore social norms and gender stereotypes.

In this volume, queer academic as well as artistic research approaches and archival practices are reviewed in the context of a history of punk and its offshoots. Among our many contributors are Tiffany Florvil (University of New Mexico), Marina Grzinic (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna), Jack Halberstam (Columbia University in the City of New York), Angela McRobbie (University of London), Peter Rehberg (Schwules Museum Berlin), and artist Wolfgang Müller.

Looks nice. Doesn’t work. This watch does not keep time. You’ll be resetting it constantly, and every time you do, the poorly placed dials end up shifting the date too. The design is impractical. The buttons and dials get bumped during normal, everyday use, which throws everything off again. The date display is also extremely hard to read, especially if you have even minor vision issues. The glow feature? Never worked at all. As for the warranty, don’t count on it. The seller is unreachable, and the listed phone number is out of service. I even purchased an extended warranty, only to find out it’s useless until the original 24-month warranty expires, which you can’t even use in the first place. Bottom line: this is a good-looking piece of junk. Save your money.

It is a beautful and heavy watch with interesting dial components. I'm not sure how it can claim to be self-winding, when it requires manual turning every 1-2 days. Biggest disappointment for me is readability. It has no backlighting, so it needs hands with more contrast and more luminescent surface, neither of which it posesses. So, it is practically useless in low light situations... a daytime device at best.
