זפת, צוואר ארוך; איראן, אזרבייג'ן, גרוזיה, ארמניה ובחלקה כלי מיתר המשמש בטורקיה. פירושו "חוט" בפרסית. האדם שמשחק זפת נקרא סגנון או טאריסט. למכשיר זה יש גובה אוקטבה של שניים וחצי. אונסק"ו נכלל ברשימת המורשת העולמית לפני 8 שנים.

3 עצים שונים משמשים לבניית השדה המורכב משלושה חלקים. הסירה שלה מורכבת משתי קערות בגדלים שונים ועשויה בדרך כלל מעץ תות. עצי תות אלה משמשים למניעת סדקים בזמן גילוף הסירה וכדי להפוך את הצליל ליפה יותר. הגבעול עשוי בדרך כלל מיער קשה יותר כמו אגוז. עץ האגוז משמש לחלק הראש הנקרא הראש.

סוגי הזפת האפריקאים מחולקים לארבעה: זפת סולו באורך 86-89 ס"מ, זפת תזמורת באורך 83-86 ס"מ, זפת סטודנטים באורך 72-76 ס"מ, וזפת קורא.

ניתן לכוון זפת אפריקנית בדרכים שונות. עם זאת, כמה כוונות עדיפות על פני דסטות מיוחדות. טווח הזפת הוא כמעט שניים וחצי אוקטבות. על לוח האצבע עשרים וחמש עד עשרים ושמונה סטי בטן מתכווננים. סיבובים אלה מציינים את מיקום השטרות ועשויים ממעיים הכבשים. זפת אפריקאית מגלמת על ידי פלקטרום העשוי בדרך כלל מפליז באורך של 3 ס"מ. מחצית המקטרום מכוסה בשעווה כך שהנגן יכול להחזיק אותו בקלות. לאחרונה מיוצרים גם חלקים אלקטרוניים מפלסטיק.

Really moisturizes hands
These gloves really work. My cuticles and hands alway seem dry. I used these gloves the first night I received them and my hands were really smooth afterward. When I get in bed at night, I play on my computer and iPad, and these gloves are perfect. The end of the index finger is designed to be used with a phone, computer, and iPad. Make sure you push the end of the fingers on the gloves all the way down to the end of your fingertips; otherwise you will not be able to use them with a device. I find they work better with my iPad than my computer. I have not tried to use with my phone. The gloves are not uncomfortable, but I found they are not comfortable to wear all night, so I just try to wear them about an hour every night. I wish I had these gloves about 20 years ago and my hands would probably look like a 20 year old.
