Omega Constellation Automatic Ref. 166.052 – 18K Yellow Gold Chronometer (1969)

The Omega Constellation Ref. 166.052 represents the height of Omega’s late-1960s craftsmanship—where precision, luxury, and modernist elegance converged. Produced in 1969, as indicated by its 30-million-range serial number, this solid 18K yellow gold chronometer captures the essence of Omega’s golden era in both form and function.

The Case – Solid 18K Gold with Architectural Poise

Crafted from solid 18K yellow gold, the 34 mm case exudes quiet sophistication and tactile richness. The defining feature is its fluted bezel, among the most finely executed of any period Constellation—its delicate ridges form an almost woven texture that shimmers subtly with movement. The case’s proportions are balanced and confident, with a reassuring heft that speaks to the density and purity of its gold construction.

The back bears the signature Observatory medallion, Omega’s emblem of precision, surrounded by eight stars—a tribute to the brand’s record-breaking chronometer trials. Crisp hallmarks and sharp lugs confirm the watch’s careful preservation and authenticity.

The Dial – Refined Silver Simplicity

Under its Omega-signed plexiglass crystal, the original silver dial remains an immaculate study in balance. Gold hour markers and the applied Omega logo add depth and warmth, while the discreet date aperture at 3 o’clock integrates seamlessly into the design. Every element is purposeful—restrained yet undeniably elegant.

The dial proudly reads “Omega Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified,” a mark of its verified accuracy, with all print crisp and evenly preserved. The result is a timeless face—minimalist, legible, and unmistakably mid-century Omega.

The Movement – Omega Caliber 1001 Chronometer

At its heart beats the Omega Caliber 1001, an automatic, chronometer-certified movement featuring a quick-set dateand an ultra-thin profile. This 24-jewel calibre was engineered for high precision and smooth performance, embodying Omega’s technical ambition just before the quartz era.

This example has been recently serviced, ensuring accurate timekeeping and effortless winding. The Cal. 1001 remains a testament to Omega’s mechanical mastery during one of its most innovative decades.

The Strap – Modern Comfort, Traditional Craft

The watch is fitted with a brand-new, hand-stitched leather strap made in Belgium—a supple, elegant complement to the watch’s golden case. Its warm tones and refined finishing ensure it sits comfortably on the wrist, enhancing the understated luxury of the piece without drawing attention away from its vintage charm.

Red flag!!!
Size: Dog Rope Toy - M
Within an hour of giving this toy to my dog, she chewed off the plastic handle and the plastic ball. The worst part is that they came off in very small pieces, some like crumbles. This could have been a serious problem if I had not been watching her and able to take it away.

Good value and good material. Great size and thickness. My pit loved it until I drove over it with my riding lawn mower. I will be buying another soon.

Updated title: Not for a power chewer
Size: Dog Rope Toy - M
Update: I had to cut the ball off the same day I wrote this review. Two days later, the yellow rope was totally unraveled and I had to throw it away. She got maybe 3 days of play with this toy. Do not buy this toy if you have a larger dog that chews a lot. I will say our dog loved this toy the moment she started playing with it. But the toy doesn't last long with our superchewer. I was hoping to use it for some games of tug, and while we're at it get her teeth cleaned by the spikey red ball. The listing includes "large" dogs. My large dog (11 m/o Bernese puppy) had this toy broken within the first 10 minutes. The red pieces are a pretty lightweight plastic that she just broke apart completely, specifically the bone on the "handle". The ball is lasting a little longer, but she put a hole in it. We will probably need to cut the ball off as well because she'll chew it up and swallow it if we're not careful, and then she'll need (another) surgery. The positive is that she loves chewing on rope and the rope pieces seem pretty sturdy. We still play tug with the ropes, but this one I will probably just give to her as a chew toy. We found a more durable ball on a rope toy at Target for a little bit less.

One of the two main strands of the toy are totally ripped apart and frayed before ever being used. Will fall apart very quickly, returning.
