The tow bar mounted cycle carrier provides a compact and stable bike carrying solution for vehicles fitted with a tow bar. Manufactured from aluminium and other lightweight materials to withstand harsh environments, it is also a TUV approved system and meets City Crash test requirements. Featuring a one hand, quick attach/release tow bar coupling mechanism and it can be tilted away from the vehicle, by use of a smart foot pedal, to allow easy access into the loadspace area even with bikes mounted. The tailgate can be opened with carrier in deployed/folded position. Comprising of a licence plate plinth and rear lighting for enhanced safety, the carrier locks onto the tow bar and all bike positions are lockable to the carrier for security. When not in use the carrier can be easily folded flat for simple storage and will fit into most vehicles' loadspace areas. Maximum load capacity is 40kg for 2 bike carrier and 51kg for 3 bike carrier (maximum 20kg per bike). For 90, 110 and 130. Requires 50mm tow hitch and 13 pin tow electrics for fitment. Suitable for carrying 2 bikes on vehicles with a rear-mounted spare wheel or 3 bikes on vehicles without a rear-mounted spare wheel. Vehicles with a rear-mounted spare wheel fitted will require a tow bar mounted cycle carrier conversion kit - VPLER0175 for fitment and this should be ordered separately. Please Note: For vehicles fitted with a rear-mounted spare wheel the tailgate opening will be restricted even when the tow bar mounted cycle carrier is in the tilted position.
