A fantastic Afro-Brazilian futuristic funk anthem! After a few other successful projects, Franck Biyong, the French-Cameroonian Afrobeat composer, guitar player, and singer, is back on Hot Casa with a futuristic Afro-Brazilian club anthem. The similarities and filiations between traditional West African drumming and Afro-Brazilian religious musical rites such as the Candomblé are many: under colonial rule African people and African slaves outwardly practiced Christianity but secretly prayed to their own God, Gods, or Ancestor spirits. So, Biyong aimed at keeping the gritty urban menacing sound and poetry of Afrobeat with the percussive mass rumble of Batucada with the poignant beauty of Carioca. He then got in touch Cristina Violle, the first lady of "Samba de Roda" in Paris, who graced the release with a startling inspired and heartfelt melody to address the same issues of hope, resilience, courage, and humility; the people who live in Africa's shanty towns of Brazil's favelas again have in common a shared living experience. The first completed version of the song then briefly went on alternative radio. They went back to the studio in the summer of 2019 and started ironing the song again from scratch. That same initial spirit and energy caught hold of the, again from the day they started and, like for Francis Bebey's New Track in 1982 or King Sunny Ade's Syncro System in 1983 who were recorded in Paris over 35 years ago, they worked relentlessly to create a balanced but experimental track showcasing roots-y sound, pop instrumentation, tight world beat drumming, song structure, jazzy horns, spacy synthesizers, choral-like vocal harmonies with call and response figurative vocals. 45RPM.

Treats fall out way to easy
Size: Large
Kinda sorta awful at holding treats in it, they just fall out without my dog even having to touch it really. I spread peanut butter on the inside of the toy and freeze it..works much better that way, nay, works amazing that way. I got this toy to stimulate his brain, so he’s either much smarter than every other dog or the treats fall out too easy..I believe it’s the ladder.

Keeps My Dog Busy and Happy!

I bought this 2-pack of treat-dispensing toys for my large dog, and they’ve been a total win. The rubber is strong enough to hold up against heavy chewing, but soft enough that it doesn’t hurt his teeth. I like that it’s large, so I can fill it with kibble or small training treats, and it keeps him entertained for a long time.
The best part is how much mental stimulation it gives—he really has to work to get the treats out, which helps with his energy and boredom. I also noticed it slows down his eating when I use it for kibble, which is a huge bonus since he usually gulps food too quickly.
Getting two in a pack is great value. I keep one stuffed in the freezer with peanut butter for a cool snack on hot days and use the other for everyday play. Both clean easily with warm water and soap.

Chef’s Kiss! Quality Product at an Amazing Price!

The large is a perfect size for my 66# and 110#. If you have a smaller dog, consider a medium. Fill them with peanut butter, 1/2 banana each, wet kibble (paste) or pumpkin puree, and put into the freezer. Not as stiff as their Kongs. Both dogs are strong chewers and these have held up. Clean the inside with a baby bottle brush.

Stands up to puppy teeth!

I was fostering 2 7-week old puppies that chewed on EVERYTHING! I got these AND a couple of the Kong brand chew toys. These have stood up much better to the puppy teeth than the Kongs did. I throw them in the dishwasher (not every time) and I also have a small straw brush to clean them. They are easy to fill, and once they are done with the treats (PB butter, yogurt, pumpkin, apple sauce etc.), they continue to chew on these. When you throw them, they have a fun bonce. I ended up foster failing one of the puppies, but we still use these often. They still look brand new and I have had them for about 6 months. I got the medium, my dog is about 13 lbs now and the size is perfect for her. The material is strong and I don't hear a peep when she is chewing on it. I would 100% recommend these!
