There are a couple of examples of notgeld that, when issued, had their face values amended around the same time of issue.....but the majority of the notgeld depicted here were issued in 1921 (serienscheine) and other types from either 1918, 1922 or early 1923. The notgeld depicted in this book all had an original face value that has subsequently been increased by a revaluation overprint. A good example would be a 50pf note that has been revalued to 1 million mark.
