The globe is ravaged by a deadly pandemicÐ strange disappearances, caused by what is widely known as ÒShadows," continue to occur all over Earth. And what terrifies the world even more is the ShadowsÕ select victims: children.

But her life is flipped upside down and pulled into darkness as soon as she finds glowing red eyes staring at her through the shadows of her closetÐ or rather, they find her.
SheÕs thrust into a new, darker worldÐ one living just beneath the surface of hers. Though, ironically enough, Kloey finds new answers coming to light in this shadowy plane. Soon, she must question herself, her friends, her motivations, and how on Earth she is meant to find a happy ending for both humans and Shadows.
Will she restore light during this dark time? Or will she allow the world to succumb to darkness?
