The Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS is a standard zoom lens designed for the X-mount APS-C system, offering a versatile focal range equivalent to 27–84mm in 35mm format. It features a variable maximum aperture of f/2.8 at the wide end to f/4 at the tele end, providing a balance of brightness and portability.
The optical design is composed of 14 elements in 10 groups, including three aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element, engineered to maintain high sharpness and minimize chromatic aberrations across the zoom range. The lens incorporates a 7-blade rounded diaphragm, ensuring smooth out-of-focus rendering.
For focusing, it employs a linear motor system, enabling fast and near-silent autofocus operation. An integrated Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) extends handheld usability, especially in lower light conditions. The focusing system also supports internal focusing, keeping the lens length constant during operation.
The aperture is controlled electronically with a dedicated aperture ring, allowing precise and tactile adjustments. With a minimum focusing distance of 30 cm, the lens provides flexibility for close-up work. The build combines metal and high-quality materials, with dimensions of approximately 65 mm in diameter, 70 mm in length, and a weight of 310 g, making it compact yet solid.

Good but left white cast on my skin

Overall, I bought this because of the zinc oxide; it is very easy to use, no strong odor, non-sticky. However, it still left white cast on my face. (The intensity of the white cast is still lower compared to other more expensive brand.)

The only one my 13 yr old will tolerate. Its the least greasy feeling of any mineral sunscreen we've tried. At 19% zinc oxide, I'm happy. Its also the least "white" cast of any we've tried. My Fitzpatrick III daughter is happy about that

Liked the old formula more :/ very drying

We have used this for the longest time because me and my middle child have an allergy to chemical sunscreens. I remember last summer the formula was slightly more greasy but I preferred that. While I do like how protected my skin is (we haven’t burned at all even with the new formula, even after swimming for hours and not reapplying) it is extremely drying to where my skin looks like it’s cracking and feels very hard to wash off. Like I can still feel it on my skin after showering. May try a different one :/ super bummed! I feel like it is also hard to rub on skin because it absorbs so fast.
