Viburnum macrocephalum 'Sterile' ~ Sterile Viburnum, Chinese SnowballSterile Viburnum is an early blooming upright multi stemmed deciduous shrub with dense branching and glossy toothed bright green leaves that turn purple red in fall. Large ball like clusters of non fragrant flowers open lime green before quickly maturing to pure white in spring. Flowers best with full sun and moist, lightly acidic well drained soils. Drought tolerant once established. Foliage is evergreen in the South but still earns fall color. Type:

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Prune immediately as needed after flowering- flower buds start in summer.   Pruned stems will not have fruit display.
