Bright Red is a deep crimson colour that is vivid at cone 05, darkens slightly at cone 5, and becomes a deep cherry red at cone 10. A clear glaze accentuates the underglaze significantly at any temperature.

AMACO Velvet Underglazes offer saturated colour, excellent coverage, and reliable results. They're as easy to use for beginners and students as they are for professional ceramicists and artists working with clay. Velvets fire true-to-colour from cone 05/06 and most can be fired up to cone 10.

• Strong, saturated colour (three coats suggested for full coverage)

• Two beautiful finishes depending on glaze cover:
  • A subtle textured velvet-matte surface when left unglazed
