Product Description - EDB24125 - Square D Bolt-On Circuit Breaker

Schneider Electric / Square D's EDB24125 bolt-on molded case circuit breaker is a reliable and easy-to-install device designed for use in Square D NF Panelboards. This circuit breaker is CSA-rated, HID-rated and HACR-rated, and UL Listed as High-Intensity Discharge.

The EDB24125 is a 2-pole bolt-on circuit breaker, rated at 125A at a system voltage of 480Y/277V AC. The circuit breaker has a thermal-magnetic trip unit and a signal indicator to indicate when a trip occurred. The device has a hold current of 270A (the maximum current the breaker can be held at to ensure a trip will occur) and a trip current of 875A (the current value when the breaker is guaranteed to trip).

Square D's EDB24125 circuit breaker is calibrated for 40 degrees C and has aluminum lugs with a terminal lug rating of AWG 12...AWG 6 (aluminum) and AWG 14...AWG 6 (copper).

I spent probably about an hour putting it together, only to take it right back apart and pack it up to return. The dimples for half the poles were on the wrong side (double and triple checked to make sure they couldn't be spun around. The threaded ends for the wheels were freely spinning on all but 2 wheels, making it impossible to actually tighten them fully. Once it was all put together, the screens could not be folded up to neatly put it aside when not in use. All in all, this was shamefully low quality for the money spent.
