This book is an amazing account of an intrepid woman who was not afraid to give all for the gospel. She married Horace Grant Underwood, who was one of the first Protestant missionaries to Korea. But she became a historic figure in her own right -- pioneering in medical missions, becoming physician to the queen, founding Severance Hospital in Seoul, the first female missionary to travel throughout Korea with the gospel, and she was a central character in the PyongYang Revival.
