Best Suited For

Dogs that prefer secure sleeping spaces with surrounding boundaries and softer enclosed comfort while resting. This bed works especially well for dogs that curl tightly, lean into edges, seek corners, or become easily overstimulated in busier home environments.

It also suits dogs that struggle to settle fully on open cushions or flatter mattress beds. The structured raised walls help create a predictable sleeping environment that supports calmer routines and more consistent rest throughout the day.

Calming Anti Anxiety Dog Bed For Dogs That Need Secure Rest Space

Many dogs naturally seek defined sleeping areas when they want to feel safe and relaxed. You often see this behaviour when dogs choose corners, sofas, covered spaces, or spots beneath furniture when resting.

The raised walls of this calming anti anxiety dog bed help recreate that sense of protection while still allowing airflow and comfortable movement. The surrounding structure gives dogs a stable edge to curl into or rest against without the sides collapsing flat during use.

For dogs that remain alert to movement, noise, or household activity, the enclosed shape can help reduce external stimulation and encourage calmer sleep cycles throughout the day and night.

Soft Faux Fur Surface For Warmth And Relaxation

The inner and outer sleeping surfaces use short faux fur designed to feel warm and gentle against the coat without becoming excessively dense or heavy. Dogs that seek warmth after walks, baths, or colder evenings often settle more quickly on softer plush textures.

The faux fur finish creates a comfortable sleeping surface while still remaining breathable enough for year-round use in typical UK homes.

Available in Cream, Dusk, and Fawn, the neutral colour options also allow the bed to sit naturally within living rooms and bedrooms without overwhelming the surrounding space.

Structured Box Walls That Maintain Support

The defining feature of this bed is the structured box frame designed to maintain its shape through repeated daily use. The raised walls are densely filled to stay supportive rather than collapsing inward over time.

Many dogs naturally rest their chin, cheek, or body weight against the sides of their bed while sleeping. The supportive walls provide resistance for that contact without flattening under pressure.

The lower front entry also makes access easier for dogs that prefer stepping directly into the bed while still maintaining the secure enclosed feel across the remaining sides.

Sleep Behaviour And Emotional Routine Support

Rest quality often affects daytime behaviour. Dogs that achieve deeper, more settled sleep frequently display calmer routines and reduced restlessness throughout the day.

This bed helps create a predictable sleeping environment that many dogs begin associating with calmness and security over time. Consistency matters. Keeping the bed in the same quiet location helps strengthen those routine associations and encourages repeat use.

Dogs that struggle to settle in busy homes often benefit from having one clear sleeping space away from direct walkways, sudden noise, or constant household movement.

Removable Cushion And Washable Covers For Long-Term Use

The removable inner cushion allows you to refresh the sleeping surface separately while helping preserve the structure of the outer walls. Both the cushion and covers can be removed for easier routine washing.

This design helps maintain hygiene without overhandling the entire structure during cleaning. Rotating and airing the cushion between washes can also help preserve more even cushioning across the sleep surface over time.

Routine maintenance helps support long-term comfort, shape retention, and overall usability in busy homes.

Designed For Everyday Use In Active Homes

Dogs naturally climb into beds, turn repeatedly before settling, reposition during sleep, and lean their weight against raised sides. This bed is designed to handle that repeated daily movement while maintaining its supportive shape.

The reinforced walls help preserve the enclosed sleeping environment instead of sagging or losing definition after regular use. Stable structure matters because dogs often settle more consistently on beds that feel familiar each time they return to them.

The durable construction also helps the bed remain presentable within shared home spaces over longer periods of everyday use.

Choosing The Right Size

Choosing the correct size helps maintain the enclosed comfort that supports calmer rest. A bed that is too large can weaken the surrounding boundary effect, while a bed that is too small may restrict comfortable repositioning during sleep.

Measure your dog while resting in their natural sleeping position and choose a size that allows turning and movement while still maintaining a secure surrounding feel.

Medium: Internal 16 x 16 inches | External 26 x 26 inches
Large: Internal 23 x 23 inches | External 36 x 36 inches
Extra Large: Internal 30 x 30 inches | External 42 x 42 inches

If your dog requires firmer orthopaedic support for arthritis, stiffness, or mobility changes, our best dog beds for arthritis and joint support guide explains how different support styles affect posture and pressure distribution.

Placement And Settling Guidance

Placement directly affects how quickly dogs adopt a new bed. Most dogs settle more consistently when their bed sits near their owner but slightly away from heavy walkways, draughts, and constant movement.

Corner placement often works especially well with calming beds because surrounding walls combine with the raised bed sides to create a more enclosed resting environment.

Avoid moving the bed frequently once your dog begins using it regularly. Predictable placement helps strengthen familiarity and attachment to the sleeping space.

Safety And Everyday Use

Use indoors on a flat surface and inspect the bed regularly for signs of wear, loose stitching, or exposed filling, particularly in homes with dogs that scratch or chew bedding before settling.

If structural damage appears, replace the bed to maintain safe use. If any material is swallowed, contact your vet for advice.

Why This Calming Dog Bed Works Well In Everyday Homes

The Lords & Labradors Calming Anti Anxiety Dog Bed combines structured raised walls, soft faux fur comfort, and supportive cushioning in a design suited to dogs that prefer secure, enclosed sleeping spaces. The box shape supports dogs that curl up, lean into edges, or settle better with surrounding boundaries during rest.

With removable washable covers, stable long-term structure, a removable cushion, and a calmer enclosed layout designed for repeat daily use, this bed balances emotional comfort, practicality, and dependable support. For dogs that benefit from predictable sleeping environments and softer surrounding structure, it provides a reliable rest space that fits naturally into calmer daily routines.

This is Willow The Dog’s favorite toy!
There is not much that needs to be said about this, frankly, amazing dog toy find. After about 6 months, Willow absolutely loves this seemingly indestructible, soft stick toy. She was born a stick dog and has always enjoyed fetch with tree limbs, balls, frisbees…And like most dogs, loves tug-o-war and chewing. I thought I was buying a <$4 toy stick that I expected my girl would destroy fairly readily. What I actually received was something that didn’t really match the description because it had MORE features and uses than I expected. Anyway, the short of it is in the video. What she loves: Fetching: I don’t know how dogs see colors, but I can confirm that my dog finds this toy highly visible day and night. This claim is based on my observations of how she retrieves this toy compared to real sticks, yellow and blue tennis balls, a large real bone, and rope toys both night and day, as I work late, so much of my one on one time with our pup happens around midnight to 1am with no outdoor lighting so we don’t disturb sleeping neighbors as much. Additionally, I find this toy highly visible in all conditions, which would make finding it in the grass after Willow is worn out and goes inside easier, except that she loves the toy so much that she always brings it in with her. Tug-o-war: Being a soft, ultra-durable material, this toy eagerly pulls double duty as a tugging toy. Dog teeth sink into the orange material by compressing it. They do not puncture the orange part, or at least not that I’ve noticed while casually examining it, making this toy last indefinitely, so far as I can tell. The size of the stick is roughly an inch in diameter and maybe ≈14-16” long, so it is, I think, a perfect size for my medium sized Australian Shepherd’s mouth. She can grip it solidly in her back teeth, side teeth, front teeth, and even if she has only two or three teeth in just a corner, she can always get a good, comfortable grip. No sharp, jagged edges of frayed plastic to abrade or irritate the inside of Willow’s mouth, gums, or cheeks and no orange material breaks off and gets swallowed. The blue material is somewhat more rigid, like a plastic, BUT is still fairly soft and while it does show some bite marks, it is still quite durable and is, I will estimate, at least 95% intact after about 6 months of average three or four 15-20 minute sessions each week. Additionally, the size happens to be perfect for my large hands, but also feels like it is appropriately sized to be easily manageable by most people. This toy is VERY flexible and gives both Willow and I excellent maneuverability and pulling left to right and up and down and back and forth and to and fro as violently and aggressively as we can manage with out the rigidity of other objects shifting uncomfortably in her mouth or my hand. The stick is long enough to accommodate both my large hand and her mouth, even both of my hands on either end with her biting in the middle. Chewing: This not Willow’s favorite chew toy, but to be fair, it isn’t really marketed as a chew toy, so I feel the degree to which it fulfills that function is “good”, which I consider to just be an added bonus feature AND an extremely good value for the money. Anyway, she brings it inside when we are done playing outside and chews on it occasionally, apparently when she wants a break from her seemingly endless and evidently boring selection of toys, enrichment gadgets, kids, neighboring dogs, and family cats. Summary: At $4, even if your dog picks it up and walks on her or his hind legs to dispose of it immediately upon presenting it to them, it will be worth it just to see that, but if your dog loves it as much as mine, you might, like me, be so pleased with it's contribution to your dog’s life, you may start doubting your sanity when the strangest thought creeps into your head as you actually consider “refunding the seller” by sending them an additional $3.94 because they absolutely deserve to be paid more for this wonderful toy. Enjoy!

Perfect Toy
My dog loves this ! It is very sturdy, very strong, but flexible. It feels soft, but seems chew proof, even for my 100 pound Cane Corso. The stick shape is more practical than a ball; it doesn't roll off or get lost under furniture.

Good toy, strong yet soft!
This was one of my best toy purchases for our GSD! He’s a rough playing dog with a hard mouth! Toy destroyer! This he loves to fetch, tug, carry, and chew on. I never really expected it to last when I got it. Surprise! Almost two months of rigorous daily play and it’s still almost like new!

Great cost effective chew toy for an aggressive chewer
Bought multiple. Still have a few in the package because the others are still going strong. Nice heft to throw them a good distance, durable enough for a heeler that is a very aggressive chewer to not destroy them after a month, and easy to see when they leave them in the grass. Good size, Good weight, Excellent durability, and keeps their attention longer than a actual stick.

Fun toy for dogs
Great toy for my dog. She loves when we throw it in the backyard for her and so far she hasn’t chewed it apart and she’s a big chewer. It’s bouncy too which makes it even more fun to chase. Great toy for the price
