Semiconductor nanoparticles have easy to regulate physical, chemical, magnetic, and optical properties, and their importance in applications such as cancer and other diseases detection, treatment, drug delivery, and in vitro biosensing is increasing. Copper sulfide (CuS), as a p-type semiconductor with excellent optical and electrical properties, is also being explored by many researchers for its biological applications. Cu based nanomaterials exhibit photon properties, including PTT and PDT, and chalcogenides (Cu2 xE, E: S, Se, Te, 0 ¡ãCx ¡ãC1) exhibit stoichiometrically dependent local surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) absorption in the NIR range, making them widely studied in photon triggered disease treatment.
