Secure Your Perimeter with Unmatched Precision

Introducing the AJAX DualCurtain Outdoor, a state-of-the-art wireless motion detector designed to provide a formidable, invisible barrier around your property. This device offers precise, bi-directional perimeter control without interfering with the movement of people already inside. Two independent optical systems with narrow viewing sectors allow you to meticulously adjust a detection zone of up to 30 meters (15 meters in each direction), effectively guarding windows, doors, archways, and fences while excluding common sources of false alarms.

Intelligent False Alarm Filtration

At the core of the DualCurtain Outdoor is the unique ELSA (Extended Live Signal Analysis) software. This advanced digital algorithm analyzes signals from two independent PIR sensors within each optical system. An alarm is triggered only when both sensors on the same side simultaneously detect human motion, effectively screening out false triggers from pets up to 80cm tall, swaying trees, and other natural interferences. This ensures that you are only alerted to genuine threats.

Eliminate Blind Spots with Near Area Detection

A common vulnerability in perimeter detectors is the blind spot directly beneath the device. AJAX solves this with its patented Near Area Detection technology. When enabled, the upper PIR sensor gains an additional narrow viewing sector angled 40 degrees downward, ensuring any attempt to cross the perimeter close to the detector's body is instantly identified.

Advanced Anti-Sabotage Protection

The DualCurtain Outdoor is engineered to resist tampering and sabotage. An integrated tamper alarm will trigger if the device is detached from its mount. Furthermore, advanced anti-masking sensors immediately detect attempts to obstruct the view by painting, covering, or placing obstacles in front of the lenses. The system also features protection against device forgery and detects communication loss with the hub in seconds.

Robust, Weatherproof, and Long-Lasting

Built to withstand the elements, the DualCurtain Outdoor operates flawlessly in a wide temperature range from -25°C to +60°C and is housed in an IP54-rated enclosure, protecting it from dust and splashes. It is powered by two pre-installed CR123A batteries that provide up to 4 years of autonomous operation, offering you long-term, reliable security.

Effortless Installation and Remote Management

Installation is made simple with the SmartBracket mounting panel, which allows for setup without disassembling the detector's body. Connecting to your AJAX hub is as easy as scanning a QR code with the app. All settings, including sensitivity and detection zones, can be configured and tested in real-time through the app, with the ability to reconfigure parameters remotely at any time.

Lots of good info, easy to read
Format: Paperback
Okay, I do need to disclose that I was one of the technical reviewers for this book, and that I'm also a fellow Packt Publishing author. Reviewing the book was a fun project, which I really enjoyed. There's a lot of good information here, and lots of hands-on projects for both x86_64 and Raspberry Pi. The author writes in a clear, concise, and conversational style that makes the material really easy to digest. If you have a good foundation of C programming knowledge and want to get into Linux kernel programming, you'll definitely want to check this book out.

Format: Kindle
A good book but the code in the Kindle edition is very badly formatted. The downloaded source code seems correct. Update formatting issue seems to have been fixed.

Good for basic x86 64 but avx coverage is horrible.
Format: Paperback
After having read Irvine 7th I had a good knowledge of x32 but soon enough I realized it’s all obsolete so now it’s on to Hyde 64. The hello world program involves interfacing to c++ and assembly/linking with batch commands. Really? I’m using visual studio ide have you heard of build and run? Hyde doesn’t even mention the debugger and without this tool assembly language is impossible. But I was already familiar with this after reading Irvine so I was ok. The following chapters 2 to 9 about 600 pages worth are great so for what I paid the book is 4 stars. Great explanation, lots of complete programs. Now it’s time for parallel processing via Simd and avx and this is chapter 11, over 100 pages of instructions with no examples. It could be useful for reference but actually, no. Amidst all the formats, memory operand and register sizes the actual explanations of the instructions are vague. Well that defeats the purpose of thumbing this chapter as a reference doesn’t it? But where Hyde fails Kusswurm modern x86 begins. If you’ve made it this far sell Hyde, Irvine, and buy Kusswurm. Then you’ll have Jedi powers like me.
