Canguilhem analyzes the radically new way in which health and disease were defined in the early nineteenth century, showing that the emerging categories of the normal and the pathological were far from objective scientific concepts. He demonstrates how the epistemological foundations of modern biology and medicine were intertwined with political, economic, and technological imperatives. Canguilhem was an important influence on the thought of Michel Foucault and Louis Althusser, among others, in particular for the way in which he poses the problem of how new domains of knowledge come into being and how they are part of a discontinuous history of human thought.Binding Type: Paperback

I love these shelves and have bought additional for other areas in the house. I love the look of the industrial pipes, the color of the shelves is perfect, they are sturdy and hold a lot of weight. They are somewhat difficult to assemble, but it's expected as hanging shelves are never fun to hang. I love them. If you are on the fence, just do it :)

Nice, but a bear to install

Quality product that looks good on our shiplap wall of the wet bar space. The install was a real trip and extremely difficult. You definitely need 2 or more people to install as the direction tell you to put the entire item together, then hang on the wall. This makes it impossible to do yourself.

Did not come with instructions but easy to assemble once you start putting together. Very sturdy and well made, real wood shelves, not too heavy but can definitely hold a decent amount of weight. The shelves themselves are rough (could have been sanded better) but where it’s for decor and not every day use, no one would ever know. I love it.
