The pieces serve as a chronology of desire and reflection, reconciling a nascent passion for industrial music with a history in the club. Oscillating between utopian to claustrophobic, the evolving synth work, deep techno atmosphere and traces of clangorous energy of early European ambient and industrial tell a distinctly German tale, forged between the forest and the autobahn. References to EBM and industrial techno manifest within the sporadic percussive framework whilst gauzy ambient backdrops form an entire world of their own, constructed from the gentle hiss of a looping tape, the booming caverns of a muffled kick, the vivid distortions of a crystalline synth. In the depths of a misty forest, warmth permeates, absorbing inside it all of the darkness, pain, romance and beauty from before. Presented on 180 gram vinyl with download code.

I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace

The fragrance is warm, woody, and slightly sweet...that low amber note that smells expensive without trying to smell expensive, which, as we all know, is the actual expensive smell. My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this.
The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday. Just quietly softer skin that doesn't make a big announcement about it.
Now, my honest gripe: the scent longevity has a ceiling. By mid-afternoon you're back to neutral. That's the gap between four stars and five for me. For daily freshness and an incredible morning window of smelling genuinely great, it absolutely delivers...but it won't carry you to bedtime.
On value: 16 fl oz is decent, the lather is efficient so the bottle lasts, and the price sits in that sweet spot where you feel like someone who makes slightly elevated but still reasonable choices, which is exactly the vibe this entire product is going for.
