This book has been a work in progress for over thirty-five years. It is unique:

¥ It gives a brief history of each of the greatest classical composers (from 1098 to
present), a listing of that composerÕs major compositions, date of each composition,performance time for each movement/part, and a program guide for almost all of the
compositions.

¥ It includes the authorÕs personal rating for each piece and movement from one _ to five _____, as explained on the bottom of each spread, along with whether the piece
(a) is generally loud, soft, or a mixture, (b) is a solo for piano, organ, or guitar, and (c) includes solo vocal, choir, humming, or dialog.

¥ It is unique as it relates to actual music performances from CDs that the author has collected over the past thirty-five years.

This book was written by the author to better enjoy his listening. It is hoped that it gives
you increased insight to and appreciation for the greatest composers and their music.
