The Aztecs came from a place called Aztlan, what is now the Southwest US, called the land of the cranes. They left Aztlan to establish their great city in the center of the universe-Tenochtitlan, modern-day Mexico City. It was prophesized that their people would one day return to live among the cranes in their promised land. Papi tells Betita that they are cranes that have come home.
Then one day, Betita's beloved father is arrested by Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) and deported to Mexico. Betita and her pregnant mother are left behind on their own, but soon they too are detained and must learn to survive in a family detention camp outside of Los Angeles. Even in cruel and inhumane conditions, Betita finds heart in her own poetry and in the community she and her mother find in the camp. The voices of her fellow asylum seekers fly above the hatred keeping them caged, but each day threatens to tear them down lower than they ever thought they could be. Smooth skin without the post-shave itch
I’ve always had issues with my skin feeling super irritated after I shave my legs, so I started applying this Cyperus Rotundus oil right after hopping out of the shower. The quality of the blend is impressive—it’s got jojoba and almond oil too, so it feels very nourishing rather than just sitting on top of the skin. It absorbs quickly enough that I can put on my leggings and head to the gym without feeling like a greaseball.
The functionality as a hair inhibitor is a nice bonus. I’ve noticed the hair on my shins seems to be coming back a bit softer and less stubbly than before. For a 55 ml bottle, the value for money is solid since you only need a few drops to cover a large area. It’s a great find for anyone who deals with that annoying sandpaper feeling a day after waxing. My roommate even started using it on her arms because it’s fragrance-free and doesn't mess with her perfume.

Lightweight oil that fits into a simple routine

Refreshing orange scent
These are effective at refreshing your disposal. When I am done cleaning up my kitchen I put 2 drops in the disposal side of my sink and briefly pulse the disposal to break open the drop. Don't run any water as this will wash away the drop and the fresh orange scent. I am very sensitive to perfume or floral fragrances - these are just the right amount of orange scent to make your drain smell fresh without the scent overwhelming the kitchen.

They smell AMAZING!!
