The SH-3 Sea King is a twin-engine, amphibious helicopter developed by Sikorsky and widely used during the Cold War. Designed primarily for anti-submarine warfare, it carries sonar, radar, and torpedoes, allowing it to search, track, and engage submarines from ships or shore bases. The Sea King's boat-shaped hull and retractable landing gear enable water landings, expanding rescue and patrol capabilities.
