It was primarily associated with the 159th Fighter Intercept Squadron (FIS) of the Florida Air National Guard in Jacksonville, Florida. On May 15, 1987, the aircraft was sent to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (AMARC) and later sold for scrap in 1997.

We then acquired the derelict fuselage from 52-9803 around 2013 and upcycled it into TransportTags in 2024. These tags will partially help fund our ongoing restoration projects, including two other T-33s that we were able to acquire.
