The present edition is accompanied by Ad Usum Delphini prose paraphrase of VergilÕs text.
Besides the interpretatio, we have selected, compiled, and reworked only those notes in the original AUD commentary that we deemed helpful to modern high school students. We have also drawn upon other Latin commentaries beyond the Ad Usum Delphini series (such as the Bibliotheca Classica Latina and Egidio ForcelliniÕs Totius Latinitatis Lexicon) and added some notes of our own to facilitate the studentsÕ comprehension of the text.
