Product Overview

Metallic nanomaterials with dimensions in the range of 1-100 nm are often referred to as nanocrystals. The preparation of morphologically controllable Pt nanocrystals was first reported in 1996, and nanocrystals of Pt, Ag, Au, Rh, etc. have been synthesised by different methods. Platinum has a face-centred cubic ( fcc ) structure, but unlike Ag, Au, Pd, etc., it is rarely able to form twins, and most of the platinum nanocrystals have a single-crystal structure. XFJ116 Pt nanoparticles were prepared by chemical reduction method with uniform size and good dispersion, and amino and carboxyl-terminal modified Pt nanoparticles are also available.

Highly dispersible: By chemical reduction, highly dispersible platinum nanoparticles can be prepared, which allows them to exhibit higher activity and efficiency in catalytic reactions. 

Small size: Platinum nanoparticles usually have an ultra-small size, which gives them a large specific surface area and more active sites, thus improving the catalytic performance.

Uniform particle size: Thanks to specific stabilisers such as polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), the particle size and dispersion of platinum nanoparticles can be effectively controlled, ensuring their stability and reliability in applications.

Application Fields

 

Catalysis: Widely used in catalysis of various chemical reactions, including oxygen reduction reaction in fuel cells, automotive exhaust treatment, syngas reforming reaction, etc.

Sensors: Used in electrochemical sensors, capable of detecting a variety of harmful substances, such as acetaminophen, cetirizine and phenylephrine. 

Fuel Cells: As the core material of fuel cells, platinum nanoparticles can effectively improve the energy density and efficiency of fuel cells and reduce operating costs. 

Optics and electronics: In optical devices and electronic components, Pt nanoparticles are widely used for their excellent conductivity and optical properties.
