A double cut incorporates rose cutting to both the top and bottom of the gemstone adding layers of depth and complexity to a thinner gemstone. A rose cut features larger, open geometric facets to form a polished pattern across a gemstone. Historically, rose cut gemstones have been very a popular cut.
