This VARUN 27.5-inch city electric bike is designed primarily for urban commuting, combining a road-legal 250W brushless motor with a lightweight aluminium alloy frame to deliver a practical and efficient everyday riding experience. The motor provides steady, controlled assistance with a top speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph), which aligns with UK and EU legal e-bike limits. Rather than focusing on high power or off-road capability, the motor is tuned for smooth acceleration and predictable performance in city traffic, making it suitable for commuting, errands, and general leisure cycling.

Power is supplied by a 48V lithium battery with a capacity of 499.2Wh, which is detachable for convenient charging either at home or in the office. On a full charge, the bike offers a claimed range of approximately 50–100 km (30–60 miles), depending on riding conditions such as terrain, rider weight, and assist level. In real-world use, riders can expect the lower to mid-range of this estimate for mixed urban riding. Charging convenience is one of its key strengths, as the removable battery system allows flexibility and reduces the need to park the entire bike near a power source.

The bike is built around a 27.5-inch city frame with a low-step design, which makes mounting and dismounting easier, particularly for everyday riders or those who prefer added convenience and accessibility. The frame is designed to accommodate riders ranging from 160 cm to 200 cm in height, offering a wide usability range. Its aluminium construction keeps the overall weight manageable at around 26 kg, balancing durability with practicality for city use. This makes it easier to handle compared to heavier off-road e-bikes, especially when storing or manoeuvring in tight urban spaces.

In terms of riding performance, the bike uses a 7-speed gear system with trigger shifters, allowing riders to adjust pedalling resistance depending on terrain. Lower gears help with easier climbing or stop-start city traffic, while higher gears support efficient cruising on flat roads. The inclusion of front suspension helps absorb shocks from uneven surfaces, potholes, or cobblestones, improving comfort during daily rides. Combined with 28-inch wheels and relatively narrow city tires, the bike is optimized for smooth rolling efficiency and stability on paved roads.

Safety and control are handled through dual disc brakes, which provide consistent stopping power in various weather conditions, an important feature for year-round commuting in wet or slippery environments. Additional practical features include an LCD display that shows key ride data such as speed, battery level, and assist mode, as well as a rear rack for carrying bags or light cargo. The inclusion of accessories like a lock, phone holder, and pump adds immediate usability straight out of the box, reducing the need for additional purchases.

Overall, this VARUN S700-2 city e-bike is best suited for commuters and casual riders who prioritize comfort, ease of use, and reliability over high performance or off-road capability. It offers a balanced combination of legal road compliance, practical range, and everyday convenience, making it a solid option for urban transport and light recreational cycling.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
