Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride

The government made us more promises than I can remember, but they never kept but one; the government promised to take our land and kill the buffalo, and they did.

Riding to Remember explores the tragic history of the American Indian: from the usurping of their homes and land, the erosion of their customs and culture by European immigrants, to the current political climate. A warning—for those who do not learn from history, are destined to repeat it.

More than that, though, Riding to Remember is a celebration of a proud and powerful people. May they never be forgotten.

"I just finished reading a book written by my uncle, Jerry Shadow Wolf Davis, called “Riding to Remember: Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride”. I’ve always been interested in genealogy, and I love history. As someone with American Indian heritage, I have often wondered about them and the events around their forced relocation known as the Trail of Tears. I remember my mother talking about the wonderful things her brother (my uncle Jerry) was doing, along with others in Alabama, to bring attention to this not-well-known history, especially by creating the Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride.

I learned a lot from this book about the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole Indian tribes. The book talks about their history, where and how they lived, and how hard they fought encroachment on their land by the white man. I learned about the numerous treaties between these tribes and the United States that were broken by the US government, which eventually led to the very tragic Trail of Tears. The book also tells how the Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride was started, and things that have happened because of it. I found all of this fascinating. If this this topic interests you as it does me, I recommend you read this book."

"Just finished reading this book. I found it to be a fascinating read about the history of what led up to the tragic removal of the Cherokee and other Native Americans to reservations in Oklahoma. It has some details of some very interesting characters instrumental in fighting this removal and shows how the government lied to and took advantage of these groups of people. It too is a cautionary tale of what can happen when other nations are allowed to come in through porous borders to the extent that power is gained through politicians wanting votes to gain power by not requiring assimilation but requirements that concessions are made to accommodate the people pouring in. It shows how our freedoms can be taken for granted and lost if we are not paying attention. I so enjoyed learning how the commemorative annual motorcycle ride of The Trail of Tears got started. It has grown every year and has made so many people aware of this tragic time in our history. I am so proud of my brother, Jerry Shadow Wolf Davis, for being the founder of this annual event and this book shows the research he has done in order to educate us of this dark time in history. I recommend this book. Could hardly put it down."

Great for hair and skin. Great buy.
These pillow cases are great for my hair and skin. They look good, hold up well in the washer and dryer, and the price is great. They are cooling. Of course I wish they could be more cooling, but honestly I'm not sure that's even possible. Great pillow cases. Already bought more for other heads. Would buy again.

Hot hot hot. Side sleepers will hate it
At first touch, these are the coldest pillowcases I own … but only for seconds. Once you actually lay on them, within seconds they adjust to your body temp, the heat feels trapped, my head begins to feel hotter than before I laid down - which has in turn caused me loathe these pillow cases. I hate that I have missed the return window. Would never buy again, would never recommend. My satin ones aren’t even this hot! I gave them the good ole 30-day try. Side sleepers - if you are like me and sleep on your side with arm tucked under pillow - flipping this pillow over in hopes of a cold side - forget it, it’s already hot from your arm.

Nice but dissapointing
So it sometimes stays cool but if it’s under a blanket and you have your body on it at all it will get warm but the spots you don’t use will get cool sometimes. I am very disappointed in the material though because it’s like my dry skin scratched the pillow case all over which makes me question it and I don’t think I would buy again.

Great pillow, but the cooling effect depends on the cover
Color: Blue-ice Plus, Size: King(Pack of 2)
I really like this pillow overall. It’s comfortable, supportive, and feels well made. When you use it without a pillowcase, it definitely feels cool to the touch and does what it claims in terms of that initial cooling sensation. However, once you put a pillowcase on it, you can’t really feel the cooling effect anymore. I’ve tried multiple different pillowcases made from different materials, and none of them really let that cool feeling come through. That said, I still love the pillow itself. It’s comfortable and supportive enough that I’m keeping it. Just keep in mind that the cooling feature works best without a cover, which isn’t ideal for everyone. Overall, a good pillow — just manage expectations about the cooling effect once it’s covered.
