A junkyard band with a heart of dirt, smoke, and wires; The Curious Mystery blends Sixties-style psychedelia with American country-blues and garage experimentalism. Cool night air, slow burning heaviness, impregnation by blackberry, Captain Beefheart, late night crawlers, native fowl, dinner, river blindness; these are some of the things The Curious Mystery bides it's time thinking about. A stranger in a new town, Rotting Slowly is their debut album. The Curious Mystery place an emphasis on dense sonic texture and unorthodox song structures. The band began in 2005 in Seattle where Shana Cleveland, a Midwestern daughter of Blues and Country rock musicians met Nicolas Gonzalez, an experimental instrumentalist from Texas. Today the band features Nicolas on guitar, vocals, and homemade instruments; Shana on vocals, banjo, guitar, and autoharp; as well as Faustine B. Hudson on drums, gong, dinner bell, plastic tube; and Bradford Button on the bass guitar. Rotting Slowly has a vast implied distance and textural tension, canvassing canyons and turning tight corners. Cleveland and Gonzalez split vocal duties; hers is silky, his familiar and they wind around each other in an organic swirl of skeletal percussion, tangled guitars, Eastern drones and multiple tempos. "Black Sand" is forward-driven, clamoring for release; "Go Forth and Gather" is a mosaic obscura; the instrumental "Nicaragua" creates a thick, uncertain haze; "Strong Swimmers" has a playful springboard guitar-plucking; and "It's Tough" is a diseased-themed doo-wop that fades into a deservedly soothingly distant Morricone porch chant.

Great toy for our mouthy chewing very active dog - he loves it and so do we!

Great buy!
Dog is very mouthy, so got this to try to focus chewing on a toy rather than me, and he loves it.
Pockets are a little small for many treats, but they do hold very small ones tucked into each triangle - (16 small treats total between the two toys), and rolls up with a strong velcro which holds pretty well. Dog will forcefully wedge his nose into the roll trying to get to the treats and it doesn't unroll until he works it over.
Wasn't positive how well it would hold up - he is a very mouthy puppy who is very strong and likes to shred, but out of all the toys, it has held up some of the best (on par with the kong toys so far) where others are not faring so well. He has pulled and tugged at the eyes, feet and ears repeatedly, and they are still firmly attached and no fraying on the treat spots at this time. He throws this thing around playing by himself and aside from being dirty now being one of his favorite toys, it looks as good as new. The only problem we have had is one of the squeakers no longer squeaks as he seems to have managed to remove that part of the noisemaker - but no holes, no rips, no shreds, nothing else showing wear and tear.
He has even used it for tug of war on occasion and though we didn't let that last too long, it showed no signs of tearing or ripping from that either.

Keeps pups busy!

A favorite with my dogs but didn't last long

These have been a HUGE hit with my aggressive chewers but after less than 3 months, this is all that is left of the poor fox and alligator. My youngest STILL plays with them like they are brand new. I will probably buy them again but wish they were actually designed for aggressive chewers as advertised. I would say it's more for the average chewer. 4 stars because it was a good purchase and a top favorite toy but just didn't last long.

Too Cute!!!

This was a pleasant surprise and especially for the price!!! You get a 2 pack of toys!!!! They are absolutely adorable and made to last!!! Soft and lightweight!!! Has a nice squeakiness which my dog adores. I appreciate that they are made to fold up and Velcro so they become very compact. You can store them so easily and/or slide in your purse, traveling bag or leave one in your car. They fold up to be the size of folded socks. I recommend.

Our pup loves it (to pieces)!

Fun toy for our playful pup, but nothing indestructible. She finds a seam and in days, the toy is in bits. Lucky for us, she still enjoys playing with parts! Package of 2. One down, one to go!
