About the Author

Dorothy M. Smith MED is a graduate of Robert A. Taft High School, Wittenberg University, and Xavier University. She holds a B.A. of Fine Arts, as well as Master of Education. Having taught for 37 years, she has been listed in Whos Who Among Americas Teachers.

In addition to being a published author, Smith is also an active artist and member of the Cincinnati Art Museum.

The inspiration for Bullying Bee came when she was bullied and bothered by a bee while she was painting.

This book reminds me of a Jane Austin novel. She writes like Jane Austin. The author did a good job with realism, life is painful and there was a plethora of that in this book. I do like how it ended even though I’m not a huge fan of Lilys choices. I’m not sure she deserved her ending, she reconciled one tragedy in her life but several others are still waiting for her to take responsibility for. It was worth the read.
