Ericsson won two races in 2021, his first win at Detroit and then later at the inaugural Nashville IndyCar race, finishing 6th in the final drivers’ standings at season’s end.
In 2022 he had his best season yet, winning the 106th Indianapolis 500 in style and finishing again in 6th place in the IndyCar Championship. Ericsson spent 5 years in Formula 1 before moving into IndyCar in 2019.
