This mask for the SP3000 manual carrier (MFC 10AY) allows to scan larger quantities of framed slides in a much shorter time than with the original mask.
It is no longer necessary to open the carrier after each slide to insert the next one. The carrier remains closed and the slides are simply pushed in from the side.
Frames of different thicknesses are no problem. The slide that is currently being scanned is held in position by two spring-loaded clamps.
These clamps also provide enough resistance when inserting the slides, so that it is very easy to position the frames fast and precisely.
The mask comes with an additional push tool.
The mask is made of anodized aluminum and PVC. It uses the magnetic contacts in the carrier and is correctly recognized by the scanner as "135 Mounted Slide".
