Offering vintage character and flexible dynamic control that's well suited for individual instruments, submixes, and stereo mastering, the Heritage Audio HA-609A is an Elite Series boutique dual-channel bus compressor and limiter with a discrete, Class-A, diode bridge design and three Carnhill transformers per channel.

Whether stereo linked or used in dual mono, the HA-609A provides versatile configurability via per-channel rotary switches and stepped potentiometers for settings such as threshold, ratio, release, and make-up gain. Featured enhancements include an extended threshold range, standard/fast attack times, and true bypass.

Connectivity is accessible via balanced 3-pin XLR jacks on the rear panel. The HA-609A's front panel sports two large VU meters for clear display of each channel's gain reduction. The HA-609A occupies 2 RU of rack space.

A New Take on an Old Secret

Based on classic European designs, this boutique dual-channel compressor and limiter features a discrete Class-A signal path packed with three Carnhill / St. Ives transformers per channel to impart character and color along with punch and glue.

Versatile Compressor Section

The compressor section of the HA-609A presents per-channel controls for threshold, ratio, release, attack, make-up gain, and bypass. The standard attack time is optimized for program material, whereas the fast attack mode is advantageous for controlling transients on sources such as drums and percussion. Taking inspiration from the famed '73 preamp, the make-up gain is performed by a Class-A amplifier with a transformer-coupled output.

Adjustable Limiter

Equipped with selectable attack time (standard or fast), multiple release times, and an extended threshold, the HA-609A is designed to deliver limiting that's exactly what you need, whether it's taming peaks, preventing mixes from clipping, or drastically shaping stems.

Diode Bridge Design

The diode bridge design allows the compression curve/response to be precisely matched from channel to channel within hundredths of a dB.

Ideal for Tracks, Submixes, or Stereo Mixes

Though the HA-609A is a dual-channel unit, it can be operated in linked stereo or dual mono. Each channel has a true bypass function for proper A/B comparison listening. By incorporating rotary switches and stepped potentiometers, the HA-609A enables easy and accurate channel matching and recall. As with other models in Heritage Audio's Elite series, the HA-609A is handmade at the Heritage headquarters in Spain.

Greatest toy for GSD!
My German Shepherd LOVES LOVES LOVES this thing. I’ve purchased about 5 of them, not because they don’t last (they do), but so we can have them everywhere (one in each car, the backyard, the front yard, the house…). The string makes them so easy to throw far and you don’t have to handle a sloppy foamy tennis ball. And it’s great for playing a little tug. All in all, a winner of a product!

Good toy for dogs
Size: Large Size 3, Color: White-Blue
Bought this for our husky. Thought it would be bigger but it’s a good size for her. She has not managed to tear it apart after having it for a few months.

Puppy proof!
Size: Large Size 3, Color: White-Blue
Purchased the blue ball. Puppy loves to carry and shake the ball with the strapes in her mouth. Lots of bite marks but hasnt popped it. We bought 2. She plays in her fenced in yard with them. Fun to throw and kick around.

Great Toy For Playful Pup
Size: Medium Size 2, Color: White-Blue
We have purchased three of these! Our dog is obsessed with them and they keep her very entertained. The strap is a great tool for her to easily pick up the ball.
