The most acclaimed writer in comics history, Alan Moore, joins his late mentor Steve Moore (no relation) for one last graphic grimoire: a sprawling and stunning introduction to magic in all its timeless forms, brought to life by six wondrous and whimsical artists.Splendid news for enquiring minds, and guaranteed salvation for humanity! Messrs. Steve and Alan Moore, proprietors of the celebrated Moon and Serpent Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marvels (sorcery by appointment since circa 150 AD), have produced a clear and practical grimoire of the occult sciences that offers endless necromantic fun for all the family. Exquisitely illuminated by a host of adepts including Kevin O’Neill, John Coulthart, Steve Parkhouse, Rick Veitch, Melinda Gebbie, and Ben Wickey, this marvellous and unprecedented tome promises to provide all that the reader could conceivably need in order to commence a fulfilling new career as a diabolist. Its contents include profusely illustrated instructional essays upon this ancient sect’s theories of magic, notably the key dissertation “Adventures in Thinking,” which gives reliable advice as to how entry into the world of magic may be readily achieved. Further to this, a number of “Rainy Day” activity pages present lively and entertaining things to do once the magical state has been attained, including such popular pastimes as divination, etheric travel, and the conjuring of a colourful multitude of spirits, deities, dead people, and infernal entities from the pit, all of whom are sure to become your new best friends. Also contained within this extravagant compendium of thaumaturgic lore is a history of magic from the last ice age to the present day, told in a series of easy-to-absorb pictorial biographies of fifty great enchanters and complemented by a variety of picture stories depicting events ranging from the Palaeolithic origins of art, magic, language, and consciousness to the rib-tickling comedy exploits of Moon and Serpent founder Alexander the False Prophet (“He’s fun, he’s fake, he’s got a talking snake!”).In addition to these manifold delights, the adventurous reader will also discover a series of helpful travel guides to mind-wrenching alien dimensions that are within comfortable walking distance, as well as profiles of the many quaint local inhabitants that one might bump into at these exotic resorts. A full range of entertainments will be provided, encompassing such diverse novelties and pursuits as a lavishly decorated, decadent pulp tale of occult adventure recounted in the serial form. Completing this almost-unimaginable treasure trove is a lengthy thesis revealing the ultimate meaning of both the Moon and the Serpent in a manner that makes transparent the much-obscured secret of magic, happiness, sex, creativity, and the known Universe, while at the same time explaining why these lunar and ophidian symbols feature so prominently in the order’s peculiar name. (Manufacturer’s disclaimer: This edition does not, however, reveal why the titular cabal of magicians consider themselves to be either grand or Egyptian. Let the buyer beware.)A colossal and audacious publishing triumph of three hundred and fifty-two pages, beautifully produced in the finest tradition of educational literature for young people, The Moon and Serpent Bumper Book of Magic will transform your lives, your reality, and any spare lead that you happen to have lying around into the purest and most radiant gold.Book design by John Coulthart. Water Shoes for 3-Week Trip to Amazon, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos
Size: 10.5, Color: Blue/Grey
Bought these shoes (along with a pair of Merrell Gore-TEX Moab Speed 2 GTX) for a three-week trip through some pretty eclectic weather and terrain. I selected these over some much more expensive brands and was very happy with my decision. I typically wear a size 11 athletic shoe (I measure a 10.5), but the 11–11.5 Humtto shoes were way too large and good not get a good fit. I returned that pair, and downsized to the 10.5. They fit me perfectly. Before leaving on the trip I used them to work out at the gym and do some light hiking. They were first seriously tested in the Amazon. The soles provide pretty darn good traction, and they can be worn with or without socks. Because of their hiking and quick drying capabilities, I ended up using these shoes about 50% of the trip. They look great, are comfortable, can be adjusted for fit, and have a decent (medium) arch and heel padding. They are not zero drop from heel to toe, but pretty close. The EVA midsole and memory foam insole for cushioning is great, but do not make the mistake I made by heating it on a heater to accelerate drying. It warped the insole a bit (they are still usable). These are great and survived some pretty extensive testing throughout Peru and Ecuador. If you are stepping into some pretty questionable conditions, these sure are a great back up to your hiking shoes when it may get sloshy and dry shoes are required for the next day.

Excellent shoes for what you’re buying them.
Size: 12, Color: Black
My 2nd pair of this brand. These are awesome. Easy to come off and get on. They stay cool in the summer, they are comfortable with or without socks. I use them in lake and pool, and they still look new. Very inexpensive, and for a change they look actually nicer in person than in the photos. I dont know how they would be doing any athletics but for everything else, including walking a lot and standing for hours, they worked great.

Surprisingly awesome!
Size: 10.5, Color: Dark Gray/Beige
I have only been wearing these for a few days so I may have to revise the review over time, but so far these shoes are absolutely outstanding. If you owned and enjoyed the original Salomon TechAmphibians, later ruined with new designs by the maker, these are their natural heirs. I took a chance on these shoes since the design is very similar. They are lightweight and comfortable and they provide great footbed support whether loose or tightly laced. Like the early TechAmphibians, they also have the cool feature of a collapsing heel upper, allowing their use as slides. They are also half the price that the Salomons sold even 10 or more years ago. The sole has an aggressive tread pattern and is quite grippy wet or dry.
I measure as 10.5 D on the shoe size device but almost no shoes in that size fit me in the last few years. I got the 11-11.5 size first but it was swimming on me. 10.5 fits well with a bit of extra room so I can wear them with or without socks.

Great shoes
Size: 10, Color: Grey, Size: 10, Color: Grey
I got 2 pairs of these specifically for a water rafting trip. The first pair was a little large, so I went down a half size ( and gave the larger pair to my son). They are comfortable, even for wide feet - although after a long day of use in the water, there was some chaffing on the outsides of my feet. It loosened up a bit across my wide foot, after getting wet.
These worked great! They have adjustable strap across the back, that pulls tight on the outside.
the laces are elastic and tighten by pulling and then pushing the stopper down onto the laces. They didn't slip (loosen) but, to get them tight, I had excessive amount of laces hanging out (had to tuck them into the tongue.

Exactly what I was looking for
Size: 9-9.5, Color: Black Denim Blue
Perfect for what I wanted in an active casual shoe. Love the tread, it's both grippy and durable but flexible, the fit, adjustability, easy to take on and off, perfect amount of cushion and stability. Can wear with or without socks comfortably.
