Trumpeter, composer and producer Stephane Ronget is the driving force behind The Rongetz Foundation, a forward thinking musical entity which bridges the gap between jazz, soul and hip-hop. The group's previous album, "Brooklyn Butterfly Session", featured no less than Gregory Porter as a special guest and this time 'round their ranks are swelled by the addition of two jazz heavyweights - saxophonist Gary Bartz and trombonist Steve Turre. Also performing on the album are three talented players from New York's jazz scene: Frank Locrasto (keyboards), Luques Curtis (bass), and Corey Fonville (drums. They're joined by an outstanding new discovery, singer Lili Cooper, all of twenty-five years old and already performing on Broadway. Two special guests are also featured, poet Sonia Sanchez (part of the Black Art Movement in the 1960's and who also mentored Gil Scott Heron) and her friend Monette Sudler on guitar. Stephane Ronget's first group was the 'Nu jazz' band Metropolitan Jazz Affair, who between 2000 and 2007 released two albums, several 7 and 12 inch singles and featured on more than forty compilations. Ultimately, Ronget wanted to move towards a more live sound and to create "on the fly" music. The Rongetz Foundation is the result - a band that plays, distinctive, original material and unites musicians from different parts of contemporary music.

This is a great book, but you're got to remember that its an excerpt of a far greater book called Sparkling Gems from the Greek. Go ahead and get this one -- but DON"T STOP UNTIL YOU'VE PLACED YOUR E ORDER FOR SPARKING GEMS.... a book that will just blow you away -- a fact evidenced by nearly 300,000 people who have already brought that hard copy book.The book above is a good start, but it's a far cry from the real Sparkling Gems from the Greek. Start with this one above -- but keep your eyes out for the day that the e-version of Sparkling Gems is announced. Sparkling Gems is a book you JUST MUST HAVE in your e-library. Hope this helps.... Excellent for daily reading
Format: Paperback
This book is great for travel or for a brief daily devotional. However, if you want a more in depth bible study I would strongly recommend Sparking Gems by Rick Renner which is the most wonderful bible study I have read second to the bible. In fact, 365 Days of Power is an exerpt from Sparkling Gems.
