This polished sphere is carved from one solid piece of genuine black shungite from Russia, weighing around 1 pound, 3 ounces.
The wooden stand measuring about 3 inches in diameter was made from reclaimed wood by Mike Stark, a talented woodworker in Olympia, Washington. Each is a unique creation! The stand is not "bump-proof" - it's simply a block with a little dip in the top for the sphere to rest.
