His Spring/Summer 1993 ready-to-wear collection — one of the most documented Lagerfeld runways of the supermodel era — produced these round white logo sunglasses, model 01945, the pair photographed on page 162 of CHANEL CATWALK by Patrick Mauries (Thames & Hudson) and worn repeatedly by Rihanna in the 2000s and 2010s. The "CHANEL" and "PARIS" wordmarks printed in black around each circular lens form the entire design argument: the house name as ornament, scaled across the face. Cut in white plastic with a round frame, signed CHANEL on the inside temple, with "MADE IN ITALY 01945 10601" stamped to the inner arm. Black tinted lenses.
