This limited-edition Sprint Run version supercharges the Lil’ Native Compression Lock design with a blade crafted from CPM 15V, an extraordinary material that boasts the highest wear resistance of any cold-work tool steel available today. Its unique alloy composition contains almost 15 percent vanadium to create an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, that translates to unparalleled cutting performance and edge retention. Our elite CPM 15V knives are further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by renowned custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This remarkable Sprint Run Lil’ Native faithfully includes all the defining features of the standard Compression Lock model, including nested stainless steel liners, a high-strength Compression Lock, and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip. To highlight its membership in our CPM 15V family, it also features brown peel-ply-textured G-10 handle scales and Shawn Houston’s “Triple B” logo laser engraved on the reverse side of the blade.

This elite Sprint Run edition elevates the design even further with a full-flat-ground blade made from CPM 15V. Containing almost 15 percent vanadium, its remarkable alloy composition produces an exceptionally high volume of ultra-hard vanadium carbides and gives it the highest wear resistance of any cold-work tool steel available today. To successfully translate these properties to knife blades, Spyderco’s CPM 15V knives are also hardened and tempered using a specialized protocol developed by custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This limited-edition expression of the Lil’ Native faithfully includes the stout back lock and broad-based four-position pocket clip of the standard model. It also features brown peel-ply-textured G-10 handle scales and Shawn Houston’s “Triple B” logo laser engraved on the reverse side of the blade.
