New for 2024 from Vaughn the latest version of the SLR family the new SLR4 with an improved Pro-core construction with enhanced rebound design and rotation control strapping to keep you stable on the ice and secure to the leg.
INTERNAL CONSTRUCTION
With the SLR being Vaughns flat face pad the pad has a new Pro-core to it which provides a stiffer structure for that competitive goalie. This new Pro-core with HD foam added to the front of the pad provides also enhances the rebounds coming off the face of the pad so you have more time to react to the next shot. With a stiffer core to help with mobility through the crease and provide maximum power with each push off we have a flexible boot with an increased angle to help with your movements through the crease.
STRAPPING & LEG CHANNEL
Keeping with the same feel as other SLR pads the SLR4 has a wider leg cradle & knee cradle with the knee coming with an adjustable angled knee strap and a deeper inside knee panel . This wide leg channel helps increase the pads rotation around your leg so everything gets sealed up tight to the ice reducing any pucks from squeaking past you, helping you still feel connected with the pad are the rotation control straps with another calf strap on the outside to keep the calf wrap secure around your leg.
EXTERNAL MATERIAL
Looking at the material on the pad we see a combination of flat jenpro and Quickslide on the face for added accents with the graphic. We also have the use of Quickslide on the inside sliding edge of the pad to provide increased speed on the ice.
