The HighPoint RocketRAID 4520 Controller Card is engineered to deliver enterprise-grade storage acceleration for professional workstations, media production suites, and data centers that require unwavering reliability, scalable performance, and flexible RAID capabilities. As an 8-port SAS/SATA hardware RAID HBA, this PCIe 2.0 x8 card provides a robust hardware RAID engine that offloads data management from the host CPU, ensuring consistent throughput and data availability even under heavy workloads. Built for demanding environments, the RocketRAID 4520 combines high bandwidth, strong data protection, and streamlined management to optimize workflows that demand rapid access to large datasets, multistream video editing, virtualization, backups, and archival storage. Its architecture is tailored to minimize latency and maximize I/O operations per second, enabling teams to work more efficiently without bottlenecks. Whether you are expanding an existing storage array or building a fresh high-performance storage solution, the RocketRAID 4520 is designed to scale with your evolving needs while maintaining reliability and data integrity across multiple hard drives or SSDs.

  • 8-port SAS/SATA hardware RAID HBA with 6Gb/s throughput: The RocketRAID 4520 supports eight SAS/SATA drives at 6Gb/s, delivering ample bandwidth for mixed workloads and large-scale storage configurations. This design enables fast data transfer across all connected drives, helping to reduce bottlenecks in data-heavy tasks such as video rendering, backups, and database operations.
  • PCIe 2.0 x8 interface for maximum host connectivity: Leveraging a PCIe x8 slot, this controller cards ensures ample lane bandwidth to sustain high I/O loads. The ample PCIe bandwidth means you can attach multiple drives in RAID configurations while maintaining smooth system responsiveness for concurrent operations, virtualization hosts, and media workflows.
  • Hardware RAID engine with flexible RAID levels: The RocketRAID 4520 includes a dedicated hardware RAID processor that supports a wide range of RAID levels to match your redundancy and performance goals. From RAID 0 for speed to RAID 6/60 for fault tolerance, you can tailor your storage array to protect critical data and optimize read/write performance for your workload.
  • Advanced data protection features and management capabilities: Expect options such as online capacity expansion, RAID level migration, hot spares, and background rebuild processes. These features help maintain data availability during maintenance or growth, minimize downtime, and simplify storage administration in professional environments.
  • Cross-platform compatibility and scalable storage solutions: Designed to work with common server and workstation operating systems, the RocketRAID 4520 integrates with standard driver packages and management software, enabling straightforward deployment in Windows and Linux environments. Its architecture makes it suitable for upgrades to existing storage farms or new builds that require resilient, high-performance storage.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the HighPoint RocketRAID 4520 best used for? It is designed for professional storage environments requiring reliable RAID protection, scalable drive counts, and sustained 6Gb/s data transfer. Ideal for media production, backups, virtualization, and data-intensive workloads where uptime and data integrity are paramount.
  • Which operating systems are supported? The RocketRAID 4520 typically supports common Windows and Linux distributions with vendor-provided drivers and management software. Always verify current driver availability and compatibility for your specific OS version before deployment.
  • How many drives can I connect? The card provides eight independent SAS/SATA channels, allowing up to eight drives to be connected simultaneously for a single array or multiple arrays, depending on configuration needs.
  • Do I need a battery backup or cache module? Some deployments benefit from optional cache/backups to protect write data during power interruptions. Check your enclosure and the vendor’s options to determine if a Battery Backup Unit (BBU) or equivalent cache protection is recommended for your setup.
  • Can I upgrade or migrate RAID levels without downtime? Yes, many RocketRAID models support online RAID level migration and online capacity expansion, allowing you to adjust redundancy and capacity while the system remains operational. Always back up critical data before performing major array changes.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.

Stepbrothers, Secrets, and Sizzling Heat
Format: Kindle
Twisted Lies by Roxy Collins is a wild ride through family secrets, amnesia, and a steamy stepbrother romance. When Kelly discovers her life is built on lies, she ends up tangled with three alpha stepbrothers and an assassin who once helped her through a heat. The tension? Off the charts! The heat is real, and the complications are messy in the best way. Full of twists, secrets, and fated mates? You'll be hooked from page one! Love omegaverse drama with a dash of taboo? This one's for you!

Good read
Format: Kindle
The book has some good twists and turns, but truthfully I was so confused on some things. It didn't have a good flow for me personally. Not sure if it's due to typos or using him/her wrongly, but I thought Kelly was both a guy and a girl. Actually I still don't know, and it made me incredibly frustrated. It would refer to Kelley as him or he, and then again in another part of the story as her she and sister. On to the next book, I hope there is some clarity and a smoother flow. This is a slow burn, and I just don't know how much I care for the Alphas yet. Idk if I recommend.

the lies
Format: Kindle
This is amazing fast pace read that is full of plot twists and lies that keep getting bad. This is a story we’re a omega has been lied to by her mother and finds out that someone is slowing dieing. 3 alpha take the omega and feed her more lies so they can use her against her father so they can find their mate Kelly. This is a dark read and ends in a cliffhanger and so good.
