EBC Brakes are quickly switching to its latest Gen 3 silver grey disc rotors. All disc rotor materials and drill or slot patterns will remain the same except the base rotor will be Silver Grey. This new surface coating is a highly corrosion-resistant rust prevention coating and is now on all current production of EBC Brake rotors.

New GEN 3 Silver Grey Rotors and the Logic Behind It
In the past few years, EBC Brakes has enhanced its rotor production facilities, now over 80% of our rotor castings are produced in Europe and 100% of machining for sport rotors is done in either the UK or the USA. EBC switched in early 2023 to a new silver grey Geomet style coating color, the photograph opposite from the AutoSport show a few years ago, shows what our rotors looked like before and the photo below shows the new product

The Reason For The Switch

  • Silver color leaves the rotor hat or hub silver in appearance after bedding in – more likely to match a vehicle's original rotor colors, so the front and back of the car look similar if you have only changed one axle
  • The new silver finish has far higher corrosion resistance to the former black etch paint (thermic black versions)
  • Painting is now done as a part of the rotor production process in the actual casting plant. This facility is more environmentally friendly, and air quality controlled and it also means the rotor castings are coated right after machining and washing leaving no time for surface corrosion to set in which happens minutes after a rotor is washed and left as naked iron

Made Using G3000 Cast Iron
EBC Automotive brake rotors are made from G3000 spec cast iron and full specifications and properties can be seen here! Runout figures above this will lead to vibration after 3000 to 4000 miles due to what we call disc thickness variation which is not a warranty condition. So you see this is no cheap import brake disc. These brake discs have the highest integrity and product quality on the aftermarket. An OE quality replacement disc, made of the finest grade iron and a perfect replacement disc for any car.

Every EBC rotor is runout inspected on this machine. Even when manufactured on state of the art precision machines, not even ONE single disc escapes this process guaranteeing perfect disc alignment. If during install you notice runout on your car it will surely be due to a chassis alignment that happens on one in seven cars, usually cased by nudging a kerb or hitting a pothole in the road earlier in driving the vehicle.

Tastes Great, But More General Wellness Than Targeted Feminine Support
I tend to prefer gummies over capsules whenever possible, so these Yalei 4-in-1 Nuora Feminine Balance Gummies caught my attention as a potential replacement for my usual women’s probiotic. The ingredient list is clean and clearly labeled, and I appreciated that it’s free from common allergens like soy, dairy, gluten, and tree nuts. The outer and inner tamper seals were intact. The manufacturing and expiration dates were also easy to read, which is something I always look for with supplements. Taste-wise, these are genuinely enjoyable. The pineapple flavor is pleasant, not overly artificial, and there’s no lingering aftertaste. The texture is firm without being sticky, which makes them easy to take daily. Honestly, these fall into that category where it’s tempting to eat more than the serving size. Where things became more nuanced for me was performance. I switched from a more targeted women’s probiotic that included specific Lactobacillus strains and additional D-mannose and cranberry support ingredients. Within about two weeks of making the swap, I experienced a UTI flare-up, which led me to go back to my previous formula. That experience made the difference in formulation stand out. My prior supplement included strains commonly associated with vaginal microbiome support along with additional complementary ingredients, whereas this product uses a single Bacillus-based probiotic strain. From my experience, this felt more like a general wellness probiotic gummy rather than something formulated for more targeted feminine health concerns. That doesn’t make it a bad product–it just depends on what you’re looking for. If your goal is a simple, good-tasting daily probiotic with light supportive ingredients, this fits that role well. If you’re specifically trying to maintain balance in more sensitive or recurring situations, you may want something more specialized. The brand also includes details like GMP manufacturing claims and batch testing which adds a layer of reassurance, though it does appear to be a newer brand. At its current lower price point, I do think it offers decent value for a general-use gummy. For me personally, though, I’ll be sticking with a more targeted formula moving forward.

Probiotic fruit snacks
Disclaimer: vine review of an item I requested free* These taste great, just like fruit snacks. I've gotten a lot of gummies from this brand and haven't found a bad one yet. Pineapple isn't even a flavor I usually like, but these taste good. Somehow they're always sweet with no weird aftertaste without having added sugar. Not too sticky, it doesn't leave residue on your fingers, but they do sometimes stick together. Mainly I got these to have some fruit snacks to eat, but the probiotics are a nice bonus and now I can pretend I'm being healthy when I eat my candy.

This is a better quality matcha than what is used at Starbucks!

This product is better than the matcha powder mix used at Starbucks! Starbucks uses a 51% sugar mix with questionably sourced matcha/sencha making up the other 49%. It has no tea flavor as it's basically just sweetened milk. If you've come to matcha through the Starbucks lens, this is NOT that product. It's what you should be drinking instead! When I've tried to get matcha powder locally at the grocery store, I've not been able to find one that is the same quality as this in such a value size quantity. For size reference, I'm pretty sure this size bag could last one person 3mos even if they were drinking a matcha latte everyday. This matcha here packs a bolder flavor, a better boost of energy, and more mental clarity without the crash that you'd have from coffee. It is unsweetened, which gives you the freedom to make the final product (latte, smoothie, whatever) as sweet or unsweet as you like. The powder is ULTRA fine, and is about the consistency of powdered sugar. It dissolves wonderfully in a few ounces of the liquid of your choice (I prefer oatmilk), and it suspends very nicely and does not sink to the bottom when at rest for a few moments. All around highly recommend. Unless you're Japanese and have had that real good stuff and would know the difference, this is probably good enough for most people.
