Over the course of a year, songwriter Matt Berry demoed countless versions of every song that would end up being on Berryland by himself in his room, but the world refused to stay outside during the process. Berryland sounds like a record designed for good times at first glance - from the psychedelic opening riff of "Makes Me Sick" to the gigantic chorus of lead single "Fruit," there are moments that feel made for driving down the highway with the windows down. But each song on Berryland has a deeper meaning than what's on the surface - a constant theme of heartache, hopelessness and feeling as if the end of the world could be any day now permeates on standout tracks like "Passing Scene" and the fast & furious "Feral Eyes." This seeming contradiction makes The Berries' album feel vital for today's world - an attempt to grasp at good times while living in end times.

Twists and Turns!

This book was full of twists and turns and suspense. It was also full of interesting characters which kept the pace moving forward. Surprising to the very end, the book was well written and worth the praise it has been given.

Phenomenal
Format: Kindle
god, this book was so refreshing! as i’m sure any sapphic book enthusiast who also shares a love for women’s soccer (sorry, i’m american) would agree! it was incredibly well-written and teeming with swoon-worthy moments as well as plenty of wonderfully accurate depictions of the women’s game. and i have to say, as a USWNT and arsenal fan, the fact that this book and its characters had me rooting for england and a london-based team that weren’t my gunners is just a testament to how good it actually is (as only leah williamson can get me to pull for the lionesses in un-patriotic enthusiasm). seriously, read this book! it’s wonderful!

Sweet Fairytale treat

This book was a sweet read. If you’re looking for something lite reading, this is it. I will say that 75% through you really got to the heavy side of the book but it was balanced. I did love Ash’s mom’s character. I would recommend reading if you want something happy and short.
